Small frustrations are normal when diamond painting. Most can be corrected quickly without damaging your canvas.
1. Drills will not stay straight
Work in smaller sections and align each new row against a straight completed row. Use a straightening tool before pressing drills firmly into place.
2. The pen will not pick up drills
Remove old wax from the tip and reload it with fresh wax. Avoid pressing so firmly that wax pushes out around the drill.
3. Drills are stuck together
Place them between two trays and press or gently twist the trays. Avoid crushing them with hard tools.
4. Static makes drills jump or cling
Keep packets closed when not in use. A small piece of dryer sheet stored with sealed drills can help reduce static; keep it away from the adhesive canvas.
5. Part of the canvas lost its stickiness
First remove dust with clean tweezers. For a very small area, use an adhesive made specifically for diamond painting and follow its directions.
6. A drill was placed on the wrong symbol
Lift it gently with tweezers and replace it with the correct color. Correcting mistakes early prevents the surrounding rows from shifting.
7. Finished drills feel loose
Cover the canvas with its protective sheet and press gently with a roller or flat book. Check individual loose drills before framing. Sealing is optional and should only be done with a product compatible with diamond art.
